Experience a hands-on program with garden creator, Bob Hoxie, inspired by the Cobb House heirloom gardens. Featuring native plants based on Caro Dugan’s colorful 1873 – 1878 diary entries, Bob will speak about how he designed the Cobb House gardens and offer professional tips for your own gardens and plantings. A complimentary native plant and informative handout is included in the talk.
Bob Hoxie, owner of Great Hill Horticultural Services, is a garden designer and horticulturist with a diverse background in landscape design, fine gardening, and historic landscape curation, working as horticulturist on the Cape Cod estate of noted garden designer, Bunny Mellon, and as Associate Director of Historic Landscapes at Plimoth-Patuxet where he coordinated “Voice of the Land,” a multi-year environmental history initiative that included the construction of a new pathway system running through the campus and the design, installation and maintenance of extensive historical and ecologically appropriate plantings.
